Katherine Beggs

Katherine is a junior at Westridge School.  She sings in three vocal ensembles in and outside of school, has played piano for ten years, and has recently began to compose music.  In this past year, Katherine participated in Listening to the Future, a program in which she composed for the Pasadena Master Chorale.  She thanks everyone at Salastina for continuing to enrich her love of music composition and making this experience possible.

Katherine is writing a piece for string trio.

Olivia Shue

Olivia is a senior at La Cañada High School. She primarily composes for choir. Her original compositions and arrangements have been performed by the Pasadena Master Chorale. She has been mentored by Shawn Kirchner (composer in residence of the Los Angeles Master Chorale) and Reena Esmail (composer in Western and Hindustani classical music). She’s in her school’s concert choir, and plays piano and guitar.

Olivia is writing a piece for string quartet.

Tiffany Shi

 Tiffany Shi is a junior at San Marino High School. Ever since she was introduced to the piano at the age of four, she's been captivated by the intimacy of music. With the piano as her primary instrument, Tiffany also plays flute and sings. She began composing solo piano music at eight years old. In 2015, she wrote choral music in the Pasadena Master Chorale's young composers program. She is looking forward to writing for chamber ensemble for the first time.

Tiffany is writing a piece for piano trio.
